National YoungArts Foundation, in collaboration with Building Bridges Art Exchange (BBAX), presents an exhibition of works by the 2018 YoungArts winners in Design Arts, Photography and Visual Arts as part of the organization's regional program, YoungArts Los Angeles.

 

For these 15 artists-some of the most promising in the region-the opportunity to show their work and engage the public in their artistic interrogations of the world is a vital part of the YoungArts experience. This exhibit, curated by Jamillah James, is a celebration of these winners and of the parents, teachers and mentors who guide and support them.

 

The YoungArts Los Angeles exhibition presents works in a wide range of artistic media. The pieces selected by James-often very personal to the artists-are meant to participate in multi­layered conversations on a range of subjects such as identity, empathy and the environment.
